Marilyn, That is really amazing you have that many members. How do you start with getting a group together? We are starting to have some kids in our area interested in llamas. Chris you might have some suggestions also. Renee

Yes, Taylor is 10 going on 20 she is my granddaughter. She showed last year for the first time and did really well. She is involved in other things also so it depends on her schedule. Lexi was visiting us from the Akron area and has never been around animals. I wish I had more kids that wanted to show.

Hi - just wanted to comment on your typ-breeding idea. The Brants in MI seem to want to keep the lines 'pure' - many Peruvians. Some breed the best male they have to complement the strenghts of the female. Some only have a few males and have to rotate duties. I have just two too-young suri males, so if I cannot get an outside breed at another farm, I will use the best stature male I have, a Fivestarr son on a suri that could use a size boost. Alpaca people seem o want to breed for best fiber AND conformation per my friend at POA in Litchfield. MY friend Lisa in IN has quite a stable of males - and I sent her 3 to be bred last year. Getting one result from a Chileana Corona daughter soon. See you at the Daffodil?

Hi!
It's been a while since I've heard from you guys! I saw someof the results from last years shows and I wanted to say congrats with you Girl ( Hard Rocks Fortune 500, I think). It looks like she has continued to do well. I will def. keep you updated on my travels. As it looks now I will be residing in Wyoming for a while. I get to play with llamas for a living so I'm doing something right!
