About Me:
I am a Montana native and continue my strong roots by residing in the beautiful Flathead Valley of Northwest Montana with my husband Mel, on the M&M Llama Ranch. Our ranch is home to llamas, alpacas, miniature donkeys, and a diverse array of fish and wildlife. We have been involved in llamas and the business for over 14-years. We have bred, raised, and shown animals winning many local and regional awards including a number of Grand Championships and Best of Show.

I have served as a llama community volunteer, supporter, vendor, as well as, llama show judge and superintendent. I have taught classes, participated in parades with our animals, and I am a strong supporter of family farms and ranches. An advocate for the proper care, health and well-being of llamas and I work hard to promote growth of the llama industry.

Currently, I am the owner and CEO, of New Wave Publishing, which produced and published LamaLink.com, an industry leading magazine. Hi Monica!
Thanks soooo much for the great weekend! Our club really appreciates the participation of your family in the 4th of July Parade. We had a wonderful time and I was so pleased to see the number of llamas there. Thanks for helping to make that happen!!! Can't wait for this upcoming weekend....should be a really nice time!

Hi Monica!
I've posted a few pics and have several more for the newsletter!! The kids really enjoyed seeing the llamas. We had our suri baby there and my niece thought she was a "big kid" too leading her llama! LOL!

Hi Monica, I think Shawn's stuff is great! I forwarded it on to my partner as we have been looking for a place to get a few jackets/vest, etc. for our company done. Here is the link that we were looking at as the shirts are only $8.95 with a 12 minimum order and get free club personalization http://www.4-hmall.org/SearchResult.aspx?CategoryID=6911 . I like the idea of getting may be more custom ones done though I don't know that everyone will want to go for a price increase as they are all paying for them individually. I've passed this on to my other leaders as well and can discuss on the 24th. Thank you for letting us know and providing another option!! I appreciate it.

It actually was this afternoon...I think some people missed it in the newsletter. Went over really well though, had 8 different classes of students and they really had a good time. We were thinking of offering to some of the other outlying schools a similar visit for like may be late September or early October. We are headed to Steve's on Monday the 24th 4pm. You're welcome to join us if you'd like to for sure! Also, we are ordering LLAMA 4-H Club personalized green T-shirts. Some adults, as well as our 4-Hers are ordering...let me know if you'd like one? Thought they'd be nice to wear for events like the parades and school visits, etc. Kind of distringuishes who we are a bit. Ohhhh... I reserved the 4-H and American Flags from the extension office for us to use in the 4th of July Parade!!! Also considering using a small flatbed trailer to decorate. Let me know if you have any ideas!!! Hope you have a great weekend, enjoy the weather!!

We're looking forward to our visit today to Elrod. We have 8 different classes that will be participating in our "Show and Tell". We should have 7-8 llamas also on display. If you get some time, we'd love to see you there!!

Hey Monica! Thanks so much for your continuing support with the club. I am pleased to see your ad fit into the newsletter as well. I really think we're moving along. Probably a good idea that Steve moved his shearing date....SNOW this morning, what's up with that!! LOL!

I really don't know much about these types of things and just know that Jade's fiber had a "silky" quality to it but I see what you're saying about the loft. She is kind of a puff-ball so definitely wouldn't be probably a true silky from the things I've read. I just love her fiber, and same goes for Augusta, certainly much more of a silkier quality than some of our others!!! Thanks for helping me!

Hey Monica!
Question for you... would you consider Jade silky?? She certainly has a different type of "silky" fiber and has actually been commented on as such. I believe Augusta has that same texture.
