Merlene & Darrell maintain a small herd of elite breeding females. Every animal in the herd has been a champion at a llama show and only the very best are offered for sale. Darrell also serves as auctioneer for most of the major llama sales in the country and was formerly an ALSA judge, and is currently an ILR judge.
Hey guys! The cruise was fun! Its always a blast to see a more relaxed side of people. "What happens on the cruise, stays on the cruise!" See you guys soon! Take care and stay warm. Venesa
Happy New Year to you & Merlene. We are also anxious for spring to come. The 3 llamas we got at Bob's sale are doing fine. They arrived in Oklahoma safe & sound. We are also looking forward to Celebrity and seeing everyone there. Thru the last several years we have purchased many fine llamas at the sales and are excited to show the new resulting crias. Our breeding program is in full swing, and we have 3 new Calvin Klien Crias that are breathtaking and have several more females still due to him.
Best wishis in the comming Year, Marcia & David Ross
Hi Darrell,
Obviously, we are late in answering your email. We couldn't go to Bob's auction due to Carolyn's mother (lives beside us) not doing too well and we couldn't leave for that length of time. We did purchase the first male in the sale (#60 Half Nuts). I couldn't get into the auction online fast enough so I had Mike West bid for me via phone. it threw us off when Bob brought this little boy out early.....first!! I am going to try and change his name.....Half nuts is not that attractive of a name for a herdsire. :) We also went in with Mike West and Craig Swindler to bid on Rainman. We stopped at $7500 though. Would like to have partnered for him. I don't see much use in purchasing too many herdsires without partners. I have so many herdsires already, I can't get enough females to go around. We are still happy with our LFA girl. What a great purchase. She is very beautiful!! Keep in touch. Jerry
We had our Western Regional this weekend. Chellana (lot 3) from LFA won her class and went on to win Reserve Champion Suri Wool Female. Then that female I purchased at Kay's sale from Sijama Llamas won Grand Champion. I was very pleased with how they did!
