Hi everybody, I don't know how many of you received the AOBA email blast that Doug Jones sent out, but I am going to post it here because I think it is very important for all of us to be informed on this election. I am a very firm supporter of Doug…

What An Experience We Had!

All I can say is "WOW" what an experience! Our big day was finally here and we were all so full of joy and anticipation as we waited for the transport to pull in. Since we live in West Texas it is very flat and you can see for miles. We spotted the transport rig coming down the street and everyone was whooping and hollering and so excited to finally have all of our babies home with us. We had five boys already here and this transport was bringing the rest, 6 alpaca girls (4 pregnant), 5 alpaca m… Continue

Hi Cindy, looks like you have really joined into the alpaca/llama world. I just raise llamas. Fell in love with them about 8 years ago. They each have their own unique personality. I always hate to see them go when I sell one! Though I live in the hill country now near Kerrville, I'm originally from Snyder so know where Levelland is. thanks for the contact, Vicki

No, we don't have any humidity here at all and we always have a wind from 10-20 mph, so they do really well in this area. I would shear 2 or even 3 times a year if it were humid here though.

I have been to Levelland once a long time ago. I recall it's very hot. Do you reshear your lamas throughout the year? I just resheared some of mine for the 2nd time this year. It's been very humid, which is not normal for us.

Hi Courtnee,

Once I have a feel for the showing of alpacas, then it is my intention to start showing the Llamas also. I hope to meet you one day either at a show or one of our ranches.
