Helping sis to find homes for Great Pyrenees and other dogs
Hi Everyone - My sister has just gotten a new job and will be moving across country and won't likely have another farm for a while until she is established. She won't be able to take her dogs with her. She has rescued and fostered animals for years. Three of her dogs are lovely Great Pyrenees, two females and a male. They are all neutered and have experience living with her goats. She is located north of Georgia and needs to find new homes for them in the next couple weeks. I thought maybe someone in that area of the US who has llamas or alpacas might have interest. She also is placing a black lab and a black boxer mix.

Is she wanting to sell these dogs or is she placing then? My wife Gail thinks she would like one. We have a family dog now. Do think this be a problem with one of them.

Doug - Hi. Sorry for my slow response. Thanks for asking about the Great Pyrenees. I just spoke with my sister over the weekend and she was telling me about the dogs she has placed. I think she has placed two of the three Great Pyrenees but will check with her to be certain. She has rescued dogs for several years and has always had several that she keeps together so I imagine they are all pretty socialized with other animals. If you're still interested, I'd be happy to connect the two of you so you could ask her any questions directly. I think it is the younger female that she still has available but I'll find out for you. Thanks again, Vickie

My wife is interestin in the dogs. Do know if can travel in a car? Do you know how much she wants for them. They would be around the llamas most of the time.
